The Geography,Flora,Fauna and Climate of the island of Cuba is extraordinary, perfect to explore  exotic natural beauty.

Cuba is the biggest of the Greater Antilles. It is strategically positioned on the entrance of the Gulf of Mexico. the southern part of the coast is washed by the Caribbean Sea and the north by the Atlantic Ocean and Gulf of Mexico.

Cuba is an archipelago formed by the big island, Cuba, Isla de pinos and about 4 000 keys and islets of small dimensions Its extended,  shape is actually compared with an alligator.

The territory is mostly level, particularly in western and central regions. About 70% of the territory is flat with just 3 significan high altitude structures

Mountain systems are three, as described above:

In the province of Pinar del Rio is the Sierra de Guaniguanico, created by the Sierra de los organos, in the western side plus the Sierra del Rosario, in the east. is a unique area with lots of attractions.

The Sierra de los organos, have a big forests, and mountains and hills with limestone, alternating with valleys, all of them of fantastic natural splendor, like Vinales, recognized all over the world. The Sierra del Rosario has. The highest level in the Pan de Guajaibon, where vegetation is rich switching between pine and broadleaf trees, including hardwoods with regions of pasture and even coffee and tabaco plantations.Also we have here the presence of narrow canyons carved as a result of the rivers paht between the hills.

The Guamuhaya Group is located within the middle section, within the provinces of Cienfuegos, Sancti Spiritus and Villa Clara. It consists of the Sierra del Escambray and Sierra de Trinidad. This mountain is identified as the Sierra del Escambray. These piles are coated with heavy vegetation, including narrow valleys with a lot of waterfalls. Its southern area finish very close to the Caribbean Sea, a paradise for ecotourism.

The Sierra Maestra , found around the southern states of the island is the biggest and greatest mountain range of Cuba.The Sierra Maestra make up by the Sierra de Cristal in the vicinity of Punta Maisi, and the Sierra de Nipe, in its northeastern portion. the Hightest peak are  Pico Sweden, 5688 ‘above sea level, the Pico Cuba, 6141 ‘ and the,Pico Turquino to 6476 The Sierra Maestra is the most spectacular natural scenery of the country and you will find several parks, such as the Pico Turquino, Santo Domingo,La Sierrita and Marea del Portillo, making it especially suitable for nature tourist .

Much of the land is composed of fertile lowlands, where cattle graze and grow sugar cane and coffee . The largest river is the Cauto 370 km.

The eastern portion of the island is on a fault, and therefore in this area, occasionally produce low intensity earthquakes.

Its long, slim design promotes the stream circulation of winds from the Atlantic to soften and humid the spectacular climate

Cuba’s climate is subtropical humid, with two exceptional seasons: the dry (winter season) from November to April and then the rainy (summer season) from May to October and year-round constant breezes that cool substantially. The average yearly temperature is 75.2 ºF, the standard winter temps is 68 ºF and in summer is 80.6 ºF. Throughout the winter is frequently the entry of cold fronts with lowest temperatures sometimes less than 50 ºF. the maximum registered temperatures between 96.8 ºF and 100.4 ºF.

Usually the middle and western areas are a lot less heated and also it rains alot more in them compared to the eastern side.

The rains are an total annual average of  48 inches with about 30% of rain fall in the winter and the remaining 70% in summer.

Can also be seen exotict mammals like  almiquí an species that  is considered endangered , fossil fish that inhabits the manjuarí rivers and lakes or herb fossils as the cork palm, dozens of beautiful and tropical orchid varieties, marine mammals such as manatees, exceptional reptiles such as iguanas , hundreds of bird species among which is of amazing beauty its plumage or singers to fill the woods with melodious notes.and a lot of alligattors in the swan of Cienaga de Zapata

Cuba definitely is an environmental heaven with very good conditions designed for lovers of mother nature utilizing its immense wealth and ecological diversity.

The caving, bird viewing, fotocaza, horse riding, cave diving and climbing heights are practical modalities for which Cuba is a good option.
